CARAVANA MUSICAL SERIES DORADAS
Décima entrega de nuestras Series Doradas que la Caravana Musical de Ángel Álvarez elevó a la categoría de clásicas. Es el lanzamiento más amplio porque hay Series Doradas duplicadas e incluso una, “I will follow him”, que se clasificó en cinco versiones diferentes. Aquí la tienen todas, incluso en la voz de Rick Nelson –para entonces se había quitado el diminutivo de su nombre-, que encajaba poco en este tipo de temas. Pero es que además tenemos a Drifters, Andy Williams, Shirelles, Bobby Vee y Bobby Rydell. En esta décima entrega destaca el primer tema español, a cargo de los incombustibles Relámpagos, el primer tema ye-yé francés con Françoise Hardy y la rareza, aún no repetida, de tener un número uno cantado en japonés. Y, ya saben, una larga colección de éxitos inmarcesibles y nombres inmortales: Gene Mc- Daniels, Eydie Gorme, Ray Charles, Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, Connie Francis, Paul Anka, Johnny Mathis, Dion, Cliff Richard o Skeeter Davis. Felices años aquellos en que los artistas florecían cada día con canciones que seguimos admirando cuando están ya cerca de los sesenta años de edad.
